Description
Four antique and vintage Chinese hand-painted ceramic porcelain articles comprising one bowl with blue and white cricket motif interior and brown-glazed exterior, one covered blue and white porcelain jar with floral design and foo dog form finial to lid, one blue and white porcelain cup decorated with a figure amongst a landscape, with a blue underglaze four character mark to underside, and one footed floriform famille rose porcelain dish with remnants of a gilt border. Dish: 2.25" H x 7.25" W x 5.5" D. Provenance: From the collection of Le Lieu and Malcolm Browne (American, 1931-2012), the photojournalist who took the 1963 award-winning photograph of the self-immolation of Buddhist Monk Thic Quang Duc (Vietnamese, 1893-1963).
