Description
c.1885, probably Robinson & Leadbeater, the figure wearing a green gown with a loose turquoise blue waistband all over a yellow dress, a pink head scarf and clutching a sheaf of wheat and holding a vessel, all upon a mottled green, yellow and brown grassy ground, 21 1/2". Only known example. The manufacturer Robinson & Leadbeater produced high quality in parianware, in 1882, together with Robert Leason, they established the Victorian Pottery Co. to manufacture majolica ware.
