Veryl Goodnight - The Day the Wall Came Down, Pewter, 8.5" x 16" x 10" c. 1999. The Day The Wall Came Down is a special work , using horses to symbolize freedom, and honor those who wished to escape communist controlled East Berlin. Life size and quarter life size editions exist at the Reagan Presidential Library, The CIA, and U.S. Air Force Academy. One from this edition of smaller casts sits on the USS George H. Bush. These smaller works are no longer being made and are not numbered, however there were around 110 made. Ex private collection, Arizona. This piece was purchased directly from the artist, whom the owner was a friend of.
