Group of (5) American stoneware vessels, to include: (2) jugs, comprising a 2-gallon jug with raised floral cobalt decoration, strap handle, tooled shoulder, and incised ''2'' mark, (chip to mouth), and a salt glazed jug with foliate cobalt decoration and strap handle, approximately 1.5 gallons, (chips to mouth); (2) crocks with lug handles, comprising a 4-gallon salt-glazed crock with floral cobalt decoration, tooled shoulder, and incised ''4'' mark, and a 2-gallon crock with foliate decoration and impressed ''2'', (minor chips to foot, surface accretions); along with a 1.5-gallon pitcher with foliate decoration, strap handle with cobalt decorated terminals, tooled shoulder, and impressed ''1-1/2'' mark, (minor chips to foot, minor surface abrasions). All with firing imperfections. Larger 15''h, 10-1/4''dia. Provenance: Estate of Joseph ''Jay'' St. Mark, PhD, of Newtown, Connecticut, historian, appraiser, and collector of fine Americana.
