Group of (5) 18th century English sterling silver, to include: Queen Anne/George I salt cellar, Thomas Ash, London, 1714, of octagonal form with flared bottom, having interior with oval bowl and side engraved with hound's head, monogrammed and hallmarked on bottom, (minor scratches, possible repairs on bottom); and assembled set of (4) tablespoons, comprising (2) spoons with partial hallmarks, and (2) George III spoons hallmarked for London, 1763, monogrammed, one lacking maker's mark, the other with heavily worn maker's mark, (minor wear, one with minor dents in bowl). Tablespoon 7-7/8''l; total approximate weight 11.4 troy oz. Provenance: Estate of Joseph ''Jay'' St. Mark, PhD, of Newtown, Connecticut, historian, appraiser, and collector of fine Americana.
