The dolls range in sizes from 22" (53cm) to 15" (38cm). (A) The tallest is a so-called "Sonneberg" style; she has brown stationary eyes and open/closed mouth with slight space between the lips with tiny, molded teeth. The head swivels on a separate bisque shoulder plate. Body is leather with gusset joints and with bisque forearms. She is nicely dressed and wearing an antique wig and clothing. There is, however, quite a large chip in the base of the neck socket, some patching on the leather body and missing a thumb on the left hand. (B) The second is also a Sonneberg-type. Because she has a flat, solid dome, she is often referred to as a "Belton." On the back of the head is an incised number "111"; she is on a fully-jointed wood and composition body and is nicely dressed in antique lace and silk, with newer leather shoes and a somewhat sparse and old antique blonde mohair wig. She has an obvious cheek rub on the right cheek, but is otherwise in good condition. (C) The smallest doll is a closed-mouth Kestner with brown glass sleep-eyes, incised on the back of the head "Made in Germany 128"; the body is original and fully-jointed wood and composition, with overall original paint and in good condition. She has a brown human hair wig with fancy hat, which is remade, but appropriately 1900's-style. Condition: (Good - Very Good). Dimensions: Largest: 23" H.
