Chinese Ming Dynasty Xuande Blue and White Porcelain Tall Bowl. Potted with a shallow body, slight deep, thick and bulbous body, with angled cavetto elevated the steep sides upward the flaring mouth rim, raised on a high-foot. High foot bowl, also known as Ba Wan, date back to Yuan Dynasty. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in white base color which contrast against blue color depicted of flower bloom intersperse with scrolling interlocking tendril and foliage. A characteristic heaped and piled effect, the under glaze grayish-blue concentrates in certain areas, bubbling through the surface of the glaze and turning a deep blue-black. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design.The Inner-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years Xuande Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
