Maker: Duffner & Kimberly.
Age: Circa 1910.
Description: Shade displays a rose pattern along lower edge. Colors consist of amber, cream, mauve, blue and green. Rests on a bronze base of baluster shape with two sockets and acorn finials on the pulls.
Size: 19" H X 16" Diameter
Weight: 13 Lbs
Condition: Very good.
History: Duffner & Kimberly was a New York based firm that introduced designs of stained glass lamps in 1905 simulating the manner of Tiffany Studios. A leading designer, Howard Howell, led the firm towards commercial success but by the recession of 1908-09, such luxury goods of high quality faltered and the company ceased production and declared bankruptcy in 1913. The productive life of the Duffner & Kimberly firm was therefore short and their works now relatively scarce.
