Date: 1846

Description: Very nice depiction of a scene from the artists' mask festival in Munich. Amongst others, Harlequin, a jester and a king with queen can be discovered in the colourful hustle and bustle. The print comes from the famous house "Ludwig Rosenthal's Antiquariat", Munich. Signed "H. Schmolze inv." in the centre below the depiction, handwritten title and date below on the backing card. Subsequently marked with inventory number on the backing sheet: " Lb. 17723".

Condition
Rather good condition. The sheet is slightly foxed and creased along the margins, there is a brown spot at lower right in the area of the image.
