Signed by de Laszlo on title page and dated 1934. Also includes Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts print of the artist's painting of General John Pershing. Philip Alexius Laszlo (1869-1937) was a Hungarian-born English portrait painter. Highly popular in his lifetime, his subjects included Calvin Coolidge, Pope Leo XIII, and numerous emperors and members of European nobility. MEASUREMENTS: 10" high x 7-1/2" wide. CONDITION: Overall good, with rubbing and discoloration to spine. Minor rubbing and wear to boards. Small inscription from previous owner at front of book. AJ.
