Antique 19th century James Williams Whittaker oil on canvas painting depicting a landscape scene with two people and a stream. Signed and dated "JW Whittaker 1860" lower left. Measures (sight) 11.5" tall x 18 wide, and (frame) 19" x 25.5" wide. Condition: uv light reveals a few small touch up areas in the sky, mostly all original, frame has normal signs of age and handling, canvas is in good condition - appears to have been restored at one point late 20th c, see images.
