Item Details

Description

Antique English sterling silver mounted dresser jar, and sterling mounted scent bottle. The dresser jar is inlaid with tortoise style material and is by Edward Souter Barnsley and the scent bottle is by Henry Matthews. Both hallmarked appropriately, 19th c. The scent bottle measures 5" tall and the powder jar measures 3.75" tall x 5" wide. Condition: the bottle has its inner stopper, very minor signs of normal age to silver mounts but no large damages or dents, a few scattered small flakes / nicks to crystal body, see images. Weight: 2 lbs.
