Description

Fantastic vintage sign for Horton & Converse Pharmacy that was the Pasadena CA location from c1930. Black with silver and gold graphics and lettering under black glass. Measures 42" x 57". This sign was inherited and passed down in the family from the founders of the pharmacy. Wonderful vintage Horton & Converse Pharmacy sign that is believed to be from the Pasadena location. Lovely Art Deco style graphics in mirrored gold and silver under black glass. Frame appears to be pressed steel and painted black with what appears to be the original chain for hanging. Measures approx 67" x 36". This sign was inherited and passed down through the family by the founders. This sign appears to be the oldest of the three running. It is for Horton & Converse Pharmacy, believed to be the Pasadena location. Letters have some Art Nouveau elements with gold and silver under black glass. Solid wood frame and measures 66" x 26". This sign was inherited and passed down through the family by the founders. Horton & Converse was founded by Charles Horton and Lawrence Converse in December,1917. Throughout the 1920s and 1930s began to expand throughout southern California including Beverly Hills, Pasadena, San Bernardino among them. They are now more than pharmaceuticals, the provide home health equipment and supplies.
