A soothing etching on paper titled "Windermere" by John Brunsdon. Hand signed in pencil on the bottom right, titled bottom left, and annotated A.P. 5/17 mid bottom. Published in 1973. Original gallery tag on verso. A modern depiction of the famous ribbon lake in Northwest England, which is the largest lake in England. John Reginald Brunsdon ARCA (1933-2014) was a British artist, printmaker, and painter. Brunsdon is considered one of the finest British printmakers and is represented in many major public collections such as the Tate Gallery, the Scottish Museum of Modern Art, the V&A, the Arts Council, MOMA in New York and the British Council.
