The Grolier Club, Commemorative Bronze Plaques, Longfellow & Emerson, H 7.5'' W 5.75'' 2 pcs | The 1911 Ralph Waldo Emerson (Boston, 1803-1882) plaque is signed 'V.D. Brenner' by Victor Brenner (New York, 1871-1924) to the lower left. The 1853-1881 Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (Portland, ME, 1807-1882) plaque has 'Griffoul Founders' to the backside and is sculpted by John Flanagan (New York, 1895-1964). Both with The Grolier Club crest and symbols to the composition. Provenance: Property of a Livonia. MI private collector.
