Silk satin worked in polychrome and gold metallic thread with luxuriant florals, foliage, and birds; central oval cartouche enclosing stylized floral spray, edged with partial flowerheads and scrolling floral border with four purple-winged black bats holding tassels; the inner field with swooping birds; the main field with large floral and foliate sprays surrounded by continuous dotted swag, looped at intervals, edged with partial flowerheads and scalloped "fringe" the outer edges with floral and foliate and fruiting branches at each corner; worked in rich, gradated shades of magenta, violet, lavender, green, brown, and beige with gold details and outlines. Size: 93'' x 81.5'' (236 x 207 cm). Condition: Staining throughout, losses / shattering to the ground.
