Chinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong Blue and White Porcelain Double Ear Zun. Potted in a Zun shaped vase, thick and large, globular body, slightly oval body, rounded shoulder concealing gracefully to a prominent straight cylindrical neck, with wide flaring open lip, two ring handles emerging and flanked on the shoulder, raised with short splayed foot base rim and slightly concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in white base color which contrast against blue color depicted of lotus flowers blooms interspersed foliage and scrolling interlocking tendril. Lotus is one of the most significant flowers in the Chinese culture. It symbolizes the holy seat of Buddha. Because the flower rises from the mud and blooms in exquisite beauty it symbolizes perfection and purity of both the heart and mind.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a four under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years Qianlong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
