DESCRIPTION: Antique Buddhist bronze icon depicting Tara, a bodhisattva related to the Hindu goddess Parvati, wearing a headdress on her brow and meditation beads around her neck while seated on a lotus throne in the posture of royal ease and bearing a lotus flower in each of her gesturing hands-the right making the gesture of reflection, the left making a third finger to thumb gesture to grip the flower. Marked on underside with a visvavajra.
