First Edition. 12mo (H 7 1/7" x W 5"). 199 pp. Rebound in a ribbed gray paper over boards, with a long leather and gilt spine label. Covers lightly soiled. Contents age mellowed. Overall very good. Front flyleaf with calligraphic owner's name surrounded with leaves and vines "W. H. Barry Surgeon 98 Pa. V.V." Greenleaf was the first medical officer to receive a commission from Ohio during the Civil War. His last two years he served in the office of the medical director at Harrisburg and Baltimore.
