Description
This machine in its second style oak cabinet has its original finish which is slightly alligatored throughout in overall good condition. Is a bit dirty and could use a good cleaning. What makes this machine rare is the fact that this very late production, second style MS cabinet, eventually evolved into the Victor IV cabinet which was traditionally made only in mahogany. This late variant of the MS is in oak. This is some times referred to by collectors as an oak Victor IV when in fact it is a late style MS. This machine is also equipped with an early MS style motor. Has a round hole exhibition reproducer. The reproducer, tone arm, horn elbow and horn elbow hold down all have their original nickel plating which is in fair condition and is a bit dirty and could use a good cleaning. In addition, the horn elbow has several dents. See photos. The back bracket has its original black paint and pinstripes in poor condition. Has its original 24" L black and brass horn with 16-1/2 " D brass bell. The brass bell has several dings . See photos. The black body has its original black paint and decal with some minor dings and scratches, Cabinet measures 13-3/4" X 13-3/4" X 7-1/2" T. A hard to find rare variant. Another example of a good honest machine from the Wayne Wolf Collection.
