Description
This early rare machine is in above average original condition. Motor board has its original finish and "pre-dog" ID tag both in very good condition - also has an original long throat New Century reproducer . The wooden tone arm has its original finish with all its original hardware in good condition with some minor surface rust on the hardware. The cast iron lower support arm has its original oxidized finish. Has original winding crank and hold down. The cast iron turntable has its original felt in good condition. Both the motor and spring housing have original oxidized finish with some minor rust on the spring housing. Motor winds and runs however upon winding, the spring winds very rapidly barely one turn allowing the motor to run only about 15 seconds which tells us that the spring has been broken, shortened and is too short. Also included is an original 14-1/2" L black and brass horn with a 9-1/2" D brass bell that has a few dings and wrinkles. Body has its original black paint and a few minor dings. The small end of the horn is fitted with an original leather elbow that is hard and fragile with some finish cracking but otherwise nicely in tact. Motor board measures 11" W. Another nice example of a good honest machine from the Wayne Wolf Collection.
