Description
Native American, southwestern United States, New Mexico, Ancestral Puebloan (Anasazi) period, Tularosa, ca. 900 to 1450 CE. A spherical jar with a round but stable base and a squat neck, all formed via the coil-and-scrape technique. The vessel is decorated with dense linear motifs including zigzagging bands, large circles filled with thick and thin stripes, and X-shaped patterns around the neck. Size: 6.5" W x 5.875" H (16.5 cm x 14.9 cm)

Condition
Professionally repaired with restoration in some areas, and resurfacing with overpainting along new material and break lines. Minor abrasions, with chips to rim, light fading to pigment, and minor earthen deposits. Nice preservation to linear motifs. Modern putty globules on base.
