Item Details

Description

This is a fine cut and engraved glass tray from a master engraver who worked for the J. & L. Lobmeyr company. It is signed by the artist August Josef Bischof (August Bishop), 1889-1979, Bohemia. Some of his pieces received recognition at the World Exhibition in Paris in 1925. He worked for Lobmeyr until 1951. This tray has an engraved nymph being entertained by cherubs. The tray is oblong with rounded pillars on the outer edge. Circa 1920-1930

Dimensions approx. 48cm x 22.5cm x 2.5cm or 19"W x 9"D x 1"H
