Robert Cottingham, Santa Fe, Unique Panel from the Union Train Station Installation in Hartford, Conn., 1987 Enamel on Aluminum Panel 51 x 71 1/2 in 129.5 x 181.6 cm Unique work In 1987, Robert Cottingham was commissioned by the Connecticut Bank and Trust Co. to create a series of unique works depicting American Railroad Imagery. There were twelve aluminum panels depicting historical railroad company logos, or heralds as they are preferred to in railroad jargon, that were installed in Union Station in Hartford, Connecticut for over twenty years. The series marked Cottingham's first and only public commission. Large format unique enamel on aluminum panel.
