Pair of 2 railroad dining car oval side platters in the Green Band pattern top marked with entwined CPR monogram and bottom marked Grindley Hotelware Co. England. Dishes measure 7 3/4" x 5 1/4" and show general signs of utensil use and stacking wear. No chips, cracks, or breaks but there is some leftover adhesive on the edges.The purchaser of this lot will be only the second owner beyond the Canadian Pacific Railway. These items were purchased by the family of the consignor directly through their CP Bygones vault auction in 1977. They were the first and until now only private owners of these items. These items have not been passed from collector to collector, and this is the first time they will have changed hands in forty six years.
