Description
Hand-colored lithograph. "A Geological Map of Long & Staten Islands with the Environs of New York"; William W. Mather, geologist and J. Calvin Smith, surveyor. This landmark pre-Civil War map is the earliest wall map made of Long Island. Dimensions: (Frame) H 32.5" x W 61" ; (Sight) H 22" x W 50.5" Condition: Not examined out of frame. Creases from folding. A few stray age spots, very light age toning to edges.

All the items in this auction remain at our Gallery in Norwalk, CT for pickup or shipping. Items must be picked up in the time frame of Tuesday, May 30th - Friday, June 9th WEEKDAYS ONLY, 9-5. WE ARE CLOSED MONDAY, 5/29 FOR MEMORIAL DAY.
