Description
Featured in this lot we have a 1945 genuine WWII Indian regimental infantry Kukri. These blades have been carried by the Napalese Gurkha as both a very formidable weapon and a decorative uniform piece since as early as 1559. This kukri features markings of India on the blade and shows a wrapped sheath with a brass tip and a snug fit to the blade without sticking on brandishing the blade. The hilt features a turned hard wood. The sheath features two smaller knives housed at the top of the piece. The kukri shows good condition overall with some minor wear and light rust on the piece. The knife measures 16 1/2" long with the blade being 11 1/2" long.
