DESCRIPTION: Two antique daguerreotypes, one featuring a man and the other featuring a young woman, both surrounded by gilt accents and trimming, in a wooden cases and behind glass. The gilt below the man has "C.EVANS" impressed twice. The gilt to the bottom right of the young woman has "C.EVANS PHILAD" visibly impressed. C. Evans is possibly Charles Evans, who worked in Philadelphia. The case for the daguerreotype of the young woman includes a cover attached by a small hook with devore velvet on the inside.
