Two 1920s hats from the flapper period. One is a rich red felt ladies hat, no label, the other is a large brown woven horsehair brimmed hat decorated with millinery flowers and velvet ribbon. Labeled.
Both would make a lovely addition to a collection of antique hats.

Ladies oblong hat with sewn on wooden beads and pleating of material around crown that decorates this hat. Four layers of covered wire at brim edge gives support. Black silk satin lining and no label.

CONDITION
Very good condition. No stains, no wear, lining needs to be attached . One bead is missing.

RIGHT HAT
This lovely handmade 1920s wide brimmed ladies hat is made from a lightweight woven horsehair with millinery wax flowers, fruit and leaves band decoration with applied brown velvet ribbon over crown. Close fitted deep crown with a wide brim with no lining.

Label reads CLOTILDE.

Recently deaccessioned from the Rochester Historical Museum of Rochester New York and still retaining its museum identification catalog numbered tag.

Excellent condition. No stains, repairs or damage to horsehair
