Description
Siamese silver engraved dressing set, likely 19th century and comprising two brushes and a hand mirror, the canted rectangular pieces each engraved and centering a Phra Khrut Pha or Royal image of "Garuda as the vehicle of Vishnu" a Siamese sign of Royal Authority, above a small cartouche engraved with an European noble coronet and the initials P.V., surrounded by scrolling foliate motifs, apparently unmarked, but likely by the Siamese maker "MOL". Not weighable; mirror: 10" L x 3.75" W x .33" D. Provenance: Removed from a collection in Mt. Kisco.
