Edo period (1615-1868), circa late 1760s
A chuban yoko-e shunga print of Tenugui no kihan (Returning Sail at the Cotton Hand Towel Rack) from the series Furyu zashiki hakkei (Eight Fashionable Parlour Views), depicting a young girl and a man kissing in front of a mirror, a tenugui draped over a black-lacquered rack on the veranda, fluttering in the light breeze; unsigned. 20.6cm x 26.9cm (8 1/8in x 10 9/16in).
