gouache and gold on paper, plain borders, partly printed label of School of Arts, Madras verso, numbered 3521 and the price, Rs. 19 (crossed out, 16 written alongside)
287 x 253 mm.; sheet, with borders 375 x 310 mm.
Footnotes:
The subject greatly resembles two Maharajahs of Patiala, either Karam Singh (reg. 1813-45) or Narinder Singh (reg. 1845-62). The latter is perhaps a closer fit.
