early 20th century, in the Louis XVI taste, the elaborate pierced crest decorated with acanthus-carved scrollwork, flanking a basket of fruit under a bower of flowers, the rectangular mirror plate in a giltwood surround, carved with laurel leaves and interior beading, with flower knops carved on each side.
