Two Chinese famille rose teapots
late 19th century
Comprising one teapot with flowers and gilt chrysanthemum motifs throughout, lid with fruit-form finial and underside with four-character mark; and one teapot with floral motifs, four-character mark and previous collector sticker to underside. (2).

Provenance: Estate of Yip Hon (1904-1997). Nicknamed Kwai Wong (translated as Ghost King), Yip Hon was a gambling tycoon in South China. He amassed great wealth in the casinos there through his technique of listening dice, eventually opening his own casino.
