Two Chinese famille rose teapots
late 19th century
Both featuring a different figural scene to either side, floral motifs encircling rim and lid, a peach-form finial, and with double wire handles. With illegible character mark to undersides. (2).
H: 3 3/8, W: 6 1/4, D: 5 in.
H: 8.57, W: 15.87, D: 12.7 cm. (each)
Provenance: Estate of Yip Hon (1904-1997). Nicknamed Kwai Wong (translated as Ghost King), Yip Hon was a gambling tycoon in South China. He amassed great wealth in the casinos there through his technique of listening dice, eventually opening his own casino.

Condition
One with minor chip to lid rim, one chip to one handle support attachment, one minor glaze chip to spout. The other in overall good condition.
