A TEXAS HOME STATE TRIBUTE THOMPSON SUB-MACHINE GUN, MODERN, model 1927A-1, .45 caliber, with drum magazine, the action is plated in 24 karat gold and nickel and etched with scenes of longhorns, the Alamo, Stephen Austin, an armadillo and a Texas star, number 68 from an edition of 250, manufactured by Auto Ordnance Corporation of Worcester, MA, for America Remembers, contained in a separately manufactured oak and glass display box, with Thompson hard shell plastic carrying case and original paperwork; case height: 12", width: 46", depth: 10 1/2". The sub-machine gun is exceptionally clean with no scratches, rubbing or signs of much handling. Possibly never fired. There is some wear and minor damage to the display case. The wood in the upper right corner is chipped and the three shell casings which help decorate the front are loose. The display case was not issued with the gun.
