Three framed pencil studies, c.1930s-40s, by Riccardo Dane Chanase, (1894-1975.) All are signed, one is dated 1940. One drawing shows several views of Conquistadors in armor as well as a woman's face. The other two are studies of women's faces. Chanase's work can be found in the collections of the Los Angeles Museum of Art, the Bezalel National Museum, the Brooklyn Museum, the Library of Congress and the New York Public Library. He has won numerous awards and exhibited widely. Larger frames, approx. 17 1/2" x 14 1/2". Smaller, approx. 13 1/2" x 12 3/4".
