Single page written from Bateman's, Burwash, Sussex, Rudyard Kipling's house on his notepaper. Dated September 2 1917, addressed to "Dear Dr. Curtess." 7 lines in tiny script asking Curtess to visit his wife "who is suffering from a sudden attack of illness that I cannot make out the nature of." 5 1/2 x 3 3/4 inches (13.5 x 9.5 cm). Slight toning. Framed with a portrait.
