(1865-1936) Rudyard Kipling's "The Seven Seas" First Edition 8vo, original cloth, top edge gilt, deckled and uncut side and bottom pages, Book is enclosed in half morocco slip case that clearly kept this volume in very good condition Methuen and Co. 36 Essex Street, WC, London 1896.

Autograph Letter signed by and as "Rudyard Kipling is laid on front endpaper and is on personal note paper; Burwash Etchingham, Bateman's Burwash, Sussex and dated Aug. 1, 1905 and addressed to a Mr. Mathiesen. Content is a letter of regret on receiving a wire and could not accept a delightful invitation. Written two years prior to being awarded the Nobel Prize.
A nice addition for any level of collector.
