Description
Don Koestner (American, 1923-2009). Oil on canvas still life painting depicting an overflowing vase with flowers, a napkin, and fruit. Signed along the lower right. Koestner lived in Minnesota his entire life and, after studying at Minneapolis School of Art, he taught at Atelier Lack, founded by Richard Lack, whom he met in school. The two artists remained lifelong friends.

Condition
There are no rips, losses, or restorations when inspected under UV light. There are a few small spots of craquelure beginning to form along the vase and the peeled fruit. A few small losses and wear to the frame.
