Queen Anne high chest or highboy, 18th C., American, Connecticut (Newtown-Woodbury area), cherry, pine, poplar and chestnut, flat top upper case with two drawers over four, double molding over lower case of long drawer over three smaller drawers, center drawer with carved concave shell, flattened arch apron over two drop finials, legs with sharp inner corners ending in pad feet, several indecipherable chalk inscriptions, brasses appear original, wear consistent with age and use including small repairs to drawer lip, etc. sold as is, 76" h. x 41" w. (at legs) x 35" w. (upper case) x 23" d.
