Brass name plate for Leopold Arnaud who was an American architect and educator. Born in New York on March 2, 1895. He died He had a long history of professional work as an architect in NY in the 1920s and became an instructor at Columbia University in 1929, working his way toward professorship in the 1930s and becoming the Dean of Architecture from 1937-1960. His was educated in France , including a Master of Science and a graduate of Graduate Lycee Janson de Sailly, University of Paris in 1914. His years at Columbia University's School of Architecture as faculty lasted 31 years . Name plate measures 3 1 1/8 in.
