Description
This is a very large and heavy footed cut glass vase from the American Brilliant period. It was cut by Libbey. It stands 20" high and weighs approx. 16.5 lbs. It is deeply cut with large hobstars and crosshatched diamonds. The very large foot is cut with a large hobstar. This is a very impressive display of cut glass. Circa 1900
This is the same blank as the signed Libbey vase pictured on page 262 of the book "Rarities in American Cut Glass" by Wiener & Lipkowitz (see photo). This blank can also be seen in a photo of the Libbey collection of cut glass in the Toledo Museum (see last photo).
