Description
Made by J. Barton Smith Company. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Ca. 1888. The weight of different sized coins, coupled with the law of gravity, causes the trapeze artist to make varying numbers of revolutions on his bar. He turns once for a penny; twice for a nickel and makes three full revolutions for a quarter. The lucky child who had a half dollar received the maximum visual pleasure, watching the acrobat make 4 to 6 turns with one coin deposit.
