From the artists website JavisWilcox.com: As the practitioner of a non-verbal art, my first objective is to intrigue the viewer into spending enough time with the painting to absorb the atmosphere and be seduced into entering a new unfamiliar world. The art in painting is not simply the presentation of an object or objects so that the viewer is wowed by the trompe l'oeil or the virtuosity of execution, but an exploration of interactions of the objects represented as well as their relationships to their surroundings, the haunting echoes of relationships in the everyday experience of the viewer.
