The American independent film was directed by and starred Ed Harris as Jackson Pollock. Marcia Gay Harden won Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for her portrayal of artist Lee Krasner. Ed Harris was nominated for Best Actor. The painting is in a NY studio scene - early in the film.
