Provenance
The tall chest was owned by Harry Karsnitz (1870-1930) and Mary Burdan Karsnitz (1871-1941) of Pottstown, Pennsylvania. It has been suggested that the chest was previously owned by Mary's parents, John Burdan and Mary Zuber. Burdan Ice Cream, the family business was an popular Pottstown venue.
