Description
A Queen Anne walnut chest-on-frame Probably Philadelphia, PA, circa 1770
(H: 69 3/4 in. W: 43 3/4 in. D: 22 3/4 in.)
In two parts, the upper section with flat molded cornice, over three short drawers over two short drawers over three graduated drawers, fluted quarter columns, the lower section with waist molding, over two drawers, shaped apron, on cabriole legs terminating in trifid feet.

Condition
nice appearance, with consistent surface finish throughout; drawer faces with patches to some corners and edges, some more prominent than others; crack to front right-facing side leg return; back left-facing foot with repaired break; interiors of drawers lightly stained at some point in past but not varnished; brass pulls possibly old if not original, altough evidence of tightening with later washers, installed in original holes; brass escutcheons possibly replaced; some mildew spots evident to back and underside, but appears to easily wipe off; one replaced board to back of upper section
