Other Notes: This lot is accompanied by a letter written to Gallery Stares by Associate Professor Dorinda Evans, Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia, dated in ink 5/3/91. The letter outlines the attribution to Mather Brown, the subject matter, and the approximate date.

Visual: Overall good condition. Dust accumulation, grime, varnish discoloration, and craquelure commensurate with age. A 0.75" H x 1.25" W area of craquelure with attendant pinhead-sized paint losses at the upper left, and another 1.5" H x 1.5" W similar area at the lower left. The painting appears to be strip lined.

Blacklight: Occasional scattered touch-up. Difficult to read under heavy varnish.
