Description
BRITISH GAUDY WELSH-STYLE HAND-PAINTED CERAMIC TEA AND TABLE ARTICLES, LOT OF TEN, each having underglaze blue designs with polychrome overglaze decorations and lustre accents, comprising two matching cup and saucer sets featuring green and red floral design, an 8 1/2" D plate with strawberry motif, a pitcher having floral and tree design, and four plates with Seeing Eye pattern including two 7 3/8" D decagonal examples and one 5" D example. Marks to underside include impressed "E. WALLEY / NIAGARA SHAPE", "T. WALKER", some registry marks, and various impressed and hand-brushed numerals. Edward Walley, Cobridge; Thomas Walker, Tunstall, England; and others. Mid 19th century. Pitcher 7" HOA.

Condition
Nine undamaged, except some having wear to enamel and lustre decorations and/or light short scattered scratches; strawberry plate with radial rim hairline.
